Safety & Compliance
At Myia Cosmetics, bath time is fun — but safety, traceability and compliance come first.
We are a UK handmade children’s bath brand based in Lancashire, creating colourful bath bombs, bath fizz, potions and bath-time treats designed to make bath time more exciting for children and easier for parents.
Our products are made in small batches, labelled clearly, and created with UK cosmetic compliance in mind.
CPSR Assessed Products
Our cosmetic products are CPSR assessed before being made available for sale.
A CPSR is a Cosmetic Product Safety Report. It is part of the legal safety process required for cosmetic products and is completed by a qualified safety assessor.
This helps confirm that the product has been assessed for cosmetic use before being sold.
Government guidance says cosmetic products made available in Great Britain must be safe for human health, and the Product Information File includes the cosmetic product safety report and evidence of good manufacturing practice.
Responsible Person
Myia Cosmetics has a Responsible Person in place for our cosmetic products.
The Responsible Person is responsible for ensuring cosmetic products meet the required UK cosmetic regulations, including product safety information, labelling, documentation and product notification where required.
For Myia Cosmetics, the Responsible Person is:
Responsible Person: Leanne Fletcher
Brand: Myia Cosmetics
Location: Lancashire, United Kingdom
Contact: leanne.f2023@outlook.com
Every cosmetic product placed on the GB market must have a Responsible Person, and the Responsible Person contact information must be kept up to date on the SCPN service and on products placed on the market.
Product Notification
Where required, our cosmetic products are notified through the UK cosmetic product notification system before being placed on the market.
The Submit Cosmetic Product Notifications service is used for cosmetic products placed on the Great Britain market. The service allows cosmetic products to be notified to the Office for Product Safety and Standards.
Batch Traceability
Our products are handmade in small batches and recorded using a batch code system.
Each batch record helps us track:
-
the product made
-
the batch code
-
the date made
-
the ingredients used
-
the fragrance/allergen information
-
the colourants used
-
the packaging/label version
-
product photos where needed
This helps us keep clear internal records and trace products if a customer ever has a question.
You can find batch information on our product labels where applicable.
UK cosmetic labelling guidance includes the requirement for an identification number, such as a batch number, alongside details such as precautions, weight or volume, Responsible Person name and address, and ingredients.
Clear Product Labelling
Our products are labelled with key safety and product information, including ingredients, weight, batch details where applicable, usage guidance and precautions.
Our product labels are designed to help parents understand what the product is, how to use it, and what to avoid.
Important usage guidance:
For external use only.
Suitable for ages 3+.
Adult supervision required.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Do not eat.
Rinse bath after use.
Keep dry until use.
Made for Children, Used with Adult Supervision
Myia Cosmetics products are designed to make bath time more exciting for children, but they are not toys and should always be used with adult supervision.
Our products are colourful, fizzy and fun, but they are still cosmetic bath products and should be used as directed.
Honest Cosmetic Claims
We keep our claims clear, honest and cosmetic-compliant.
Our products are not medicines and we do not claim that they treat, cure or prevent any skin condition.
If your child has sensitive skin, allergies or a known skin condition, please check the ingredients carefully before use and seek medical advice if needed.
Product Photos & Records
We keep product photos, label records and batch information as part of our internal product record keeping.
This helps us keep consistency between what we make, what we label, and what customers receive.
